Ram Spikers hit another big win

The Greene County volleyball team picked up a win last week in their only match of the week, 3-0 at home against South Hamilton. 

In the first set, the Rams won 25-15. The second and third sets each went to the Rams 25-19. No stats were available for the game.

The Rams were scheduled to play again on Tuesday at PCM High School. The Rams went into the game with a 10-4 record, while PCM went in with a 4-10 season record.

South Hardin Tournament, Sept. 10, 2022

Greene County finished second in pool play. The Rams beat Oelwein 21-17, 21-19; lost to Gladbrook-Reinbeck  6-21,15-21; and then topped Grandview Christian  21-15,  21-16

The Rams beat South Hardin in the semi-finals 21-16, 14-21, 15-9. They lost in the championship match to Gladbrook-Reinbek 2022, 10-21.

Serving was great at 92 percent for the day.  

“This was the most competitive we have been at this tournament in a long while,” said coach Chris Heisterkamp. “The second place finish was a very nice end to a long day.”
